The Institute participates in conducting engineering surveys. This can be a full range of surveys (involving contractors) or individual types of work, such as:
- calculation of landslide and karst deformations (Laboratories of Soil Science and Soil Mechanics and Exogenous Geodynamics and Geological Risk Analysis);
- Engineering and Geophysical research and Seismic Microdistricting (Laboratory of Engineering Geophysics and Seismic Microdistricting);
- hydrogeological modeling (Hydrogeoecology Laboratory);
- determination of the composition and properties of soils (laboratory for Studying the composition and properties of soils);
- and other types of work.
The Institute is a member of the SRO "Association of Organizations performing engineering surveys in architectural and Construction design, construction, reconstruction, and major Repairs of the nuclear industry facilities of SOYUZATOMGEO."
